THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN BEING A PASSENGER

This post is about the pioneer Amelia Earhart, who lived a passionate and short life. I think she set an example for every entrepreneur.

THE MOST DIFFICULT THING IS THE DECISION TO ACT. THE REST IS MERE PERSISTENCE.

Determination

It certainly did not take her long to decide to act. Being in her early 20s, Amelia sat in a plane for her first time and reportedly immediately decided that she wanted to learn to fly. Since her parents did not want to bear the costs for the flying lessons and the license, Amelia did more than 20 odd jobs to finance her dream.

Her flying teacher was another woman by the name of Netta Snook. Only 6 months later, Amelia held her own pilot license.

If you are an entrepreneur, you probably see that Ms Earhart did what she did with sheer determination, based on a clear-cut decision. And I am sure that this path was a stony one, just like building a company.

COURAGE IS THE PRICE THAT LIFE EXACTS FOR GRANTING PEACE.
Amelia Earhart

Courage

This I know to be true. Once you really decide to achieve something, you cannot rest, and you will call on every ounce of courage you have until you make it. Even if you are in the midst of a storm, you will not let go because it is what you really want to do.

These armies of self-proclaimed, typically useless coaches call this passion, without knowing that the word passion stems from Latin and means pain.

The process is sometimes painful, but the result is worthwhile.

Conclusion

I didn’t personally know Amelia Earhart, who is known for being the first woman to fly solo over the Atlantic, an achievement that brought her glory. Her last ill-fated endeavour was meant to take her to the North Pole, where she never arrived. On July 2, 1937, just three weeks before her 40th birthday, she sent the last radio message, indicating her position and disappeared from the world. Her remains have yet to be found.

I like to think that her courage granted her the peace she desired.
